Designer required for basic logo

I’m looking for a logo designer who charges no more than £10 per hour to make final copy of a basic, easy logo I’ve already made just using word and outlook. It needs an artistic background added behind the name and a slightly thicker font to letters with a few white stripes adding to the letters on the company name. Please email me or send message and I will reply then fwd a copy of logo.

Looking for designer for sports website CMS SE database

Looking for a professional UK BASED website designer or company (who has a portfolio of at least 5 websites they’ve built, ideally some search engine/database work, and who can provide references or testimonials from satisfied customers) to build a sports website with a search engine and database facility. The likeliest and most economical open source to use would be Wordpress Buddypress which I’ve been told does everything I’m looking for. Joomla Joomleague seems to offer what I want but preference is for Wordpress. Another option is you could probably use previous templates of similar sites you built to minimize costs on this starter website. Required to build and then at a later date, develop and expand the starter version of the website adding more features and a mobile phone app in the future as income and membership starts to grow.

Full and very detailed spec prepared, all the text is written for every page (and virtually every navigation possibility) and ready to just paste into the pages of the template. All the buttons and navigations are all figured out and laid out, so mainly, the work required is to build the template, do coding and make live.

The main features required are ;

League tables ….
(Free software available from one manufacturer & from open source websites.) Regional, age, standard etc.) Otherwise could wait until league matches start and bigger budget available in phase 2.

Results page….
Members enter their results themselves.

Registration page….
For members to upload their profile and personal details and choose a user name. Six questions about themselves with options on each question. These answers have to be searchable on engine by other members looking for preferred criteria.

Directory Page….
A page where physios, coaches etc can upload their profiles, price list and contact details, all using the same profile template, and members using same profile template.

Book A Coaching Course page….
Members choose a time slot and suitable type of coaching event they want the coaches to organize in their local area by selecting various options from 8 questions. Once the results of those preferences and the overall demand has been looked at by management in the admin area, the events will be listed on an ‘Upcoming Events’ page. Members will then be able to select a suitable event, book a place and pay through Paypal.

Internal email ….
For members so they don’t have to reveal their own personal email addresses. Management able to send one newsletter or bulk emails to all members at the same time.

Search engine….
Find opponents from other members on search engine by age, region, standard etc, approximately 6 options to enter to search with. And enter post code to find nearest members to you. Otherwise if easier to build for starter website, maybe pages for each regional area could display opponents criteria, taken from data entered when members register.

Forums….
Find opponents by 1) standard and 2) town

General Chat & Discussion forum.
Small budget in the hundreds for the starter (open source?) website to get the business up and running, so would suit someone who has built something similar already. In a couple of months when first income starts coming in, we could rebuild completely adding the additional features with much bigger budget approaching £1000. Logo already designed, look of starter site not important but don’t want it to look like one big home made forum though. Just want site that works with the 2 or 3 main functions being reliable. Ideally looking for someone who is available to start immediately.

Future requirements for the website revamp ;
Our own eCommerce store and checkout selling products (own products and affiliate products that link to outside websites of third party companies where our members would buy from those other websites own checkouts. Mobile phone app. Mobile compatible version of website.

Please email me an estimate of your pricing based on the above spec or send estimate by personal message if send email isn't available on the forum

PLEASE DON'T CONTACT ME UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE UK.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Need Help.....

I used to have Ubuntu installed, but honestly, I never used it. It just took up HDD space. I also had XP installed too, but I never really used that anymore either.
I tried KDE4 out a while back though, and I found the entire effects to be glitchy, and it's not like my video card couldn't handle it (it was a 8800GTS 512 mb). Compiz-Fusion worked great under Ubuntu, so I just came to the conclusion that the effects in KDE4 were poorly written.
So, have the fixed the effects? I remember the minimizing/maximizing effect being extremely buggy. I probably won't install Linux again until I get a new computer and make my current one a Linux box, but that won't be until around 2011, after I had graduated from college.

Ubuntu To Nubuntu

Hello, I am a new member to these Forums and a Nubuntu convert wannabe! I am a CPU Information Tech Student (Baccalaureate Program) in MI and I am very interested in IT security/Pen-Testing/Network Security ETC...I am leaning towards completing as a Development Major but Infrastructure Specialist is not ruled out yet...either way...Security is the way of the future and this is a very interesting OS and Toolset. I am currently using Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake and not wanting to upgrade from there yet...I am wondering-are there Kernel differences between Nubuntu and my Distro or could I customize my Ubuntu into something closely resemblimg (In Function and Feel) Nubuntu? As a newbie to Linux I am scared of Upgrading/Changing much because I have a Spanking Newly built (Still smels like factory fresh electronics when it's running!) upper echelon Gaming Rig with DDR3 Ram and an Intel X48 based Mobo...everything in this baby is newest of the new including a sata II HD (WD 500gb) and a Sata DVD/R, CD/R/RW, +DVD/RW= DvD/Ram optical drive which I am having trouble with 'cos I cannot install Xp on and an MSI Gpu (NVidea 8400 GS) that is the reason that I couldn't install Hardy...so How is Nubuntu as far as Driver support and Installation (Is it Graphical or Text Mode Install?) and is there a way that I could convert my Dapper into an Nubuntu like (Or a Nubuntu) Sys without losing my lucky OS? I would prefer to leave my default Ubuntu intact becuase this is what I am learning on and getting used to and to start over with a new OS would suck especially when I am just beginning to get the hang of this...so some kind of Integration would be really nice....anyone have any advice?
